Santa Barbara is brimming with excellent wine tasting venues, but the Courthouse’s Sunken Gardens has to be a favorite. Elements Restaurant hosted their 4th Annual Fiesta Winetasting on the grassy area this past Saturday, August 15 from 4-7pm.
A tented area held about 30 wineries, each pouring their most popular wines. Elements has recently expanded the catering side of their business, and it really showed on Saturday.
Tables were full of fresh, cube shaped Ahi Poke, fish stuffed sushi, summer vegetable ratatouille, and mini iced cupcakes (to name a few favorites…). About 600 guests showed up to enjoy sunny skies, delicious wines, and an assortment of finger foods.
Santa Barbara Winery wines poured at the event:
2007 Sauvignon Blanc Santa Ynez Valley
2007 Reserve Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills
2005 Sangiovese Stolpman Vineyard
2005 Primitivo Joughin Vineyard
Lafond Winery wines poured:
2007 Chardonnay SRH
2007 Pinot Noir SRH
2007 Syrah SRH
2007 Pinot Noir Lafond Vineyard Pommard Clone
